Frederick John Martin, Founder
John is a seasoned CNC machinist with over 15 years of experience in high-precision machining across demanding sectors. Starting as a Tool and Die Maker at Solar Turbines, he mastered tolerances down to ±0.0001″ and refined his skills in GD&T. At Ametek, he furthered his expertise in Injection Mold Making, working with high-performance alloys and applying advanced heat-treating techniques for durability.
As the founder of FJM Manufacturing, John combines technical skill with hands-on project management, from CNC programming to quality assurance. Across 15+ years he has run ProtoTrak mills, wire EDM, vertical turret lathes and surface grinders, and has built everything from turbine tooling to custom mould inserts. His expertise in toolpath optimization, fixture design, and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software enables him to handle complex part geometries with micrometric precision.
John’s commitment to excellence shines in his ability to deliver on challenging specifications. Whether crafting intricate turbine tooling or custom mold inserts, he is a problem solver and a reliable partner, ensuring each project meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
